NYC kids as young as 18 months indulging in caviar. That includes on Doritos, pizza and pasta, proving that you’re never too young for caviar dreams. In the headlines on #TheUpdate this Wednesday, Hamas says hundreds have been killed in an airstrike on Gaza City hospital, after intensifying bombardments near towns in southern Gaza rattled civilians where Israel ordered them to take refuge. Meanwhile, Hamas and Israel have both been accused of breaking international law during their latest conflict. The rules of armed conflict are governed by a set of internationally recognized laws and resolutions, including the Geneva Conventions. Locally, Mayor Eric Adams has been using artificial intelligence to make robocalls that contort his own voice into several languages he doesn’t actually speak. Hundreds of thousands of students nationwide face challenges learning math due to disabilities such as dyscalculia. Parents and experts say schools often don't adequately support students with math disabilities like dyscalculia, which affects up to 7% of the population and often coexists with dyslexia. And they are playfully called the “forgotten five”: A handful of toys — the pogo stick, the Fisher-Price Corn Popper, My Little Pony, PEZ dispensers, and Transformers — that regularly approach toybox royalty as finalists for the National Toy Hall of Fame, only to be tossed back on the pile. For one of them, this is the year they finally make it in. The Hall of Fame is letting fans decide which one. 🧸🪀🗳️
