On Episode 31 of The Terror Talks, we are breaking down, experiences, and rating Madworld Haunted Attraction's 2021 Haunt!

On Friday, September 10th, 2021, Madworld Haunted Attractions opened up their gates for the first victims of the 2021 Haunt Season. We were privileged enough to go and experience the attraction for ourselves on this opening weekend.

Last year, we visited the attractions or their 10 Years of Fear celebration, and left slightly underwhelmed, but decided to return for another season!

This year we arrived with a different viewpoint, and a different rating scale.

All the houses that we'll be reviewing this year will be rated on the Scream Scale!

With this, we will evaluate each haunt's Sets, Costumes, Makeup/SFX, Scares, Pacing, and Actors on a scale of 1-5 Screams.

The average number of screams will determine our ranking for the haunts!!

We got to embark on an EPIC Haunt Road-Trip, taking us across several states in the United States, visitng several haunts along the way, until finally landing in St. Louis, Missouri, where we would finally get to not only knock off a "bucket-list haunt" for me, but also get to expereince two other haunts alongside it, all run by the same company and owners. First, we visited the Lemp Brewery Haunted House, Missouri's scariest REAL Haunted Attraction. The all-new Lemp Brewery Haunted House is ready to make you scream. Lemp haunted house is BACK in 2024. NOW CELEBRATE OUR 31st YEAR OF FEAR AT LEMP. ST LOUIS ONLY REAL HAUNTED HOUSE! Come face to face with demons, confusing mazes, inside a pitch black cavern of the occult. Lemp Brewery is the most famous haunted place in American prepare to go into the abyss to scream Are you ready for St Louis' only REAL haunted house bring your friends and scream together. The Lemp is one mile from The Darkness. Then, after finishing up there, we took their advice and visited "The Darkness" haunted house, which had become a MAJOR "Bucket List" Haunt for Jeremy, as it had been featured in places such as, The Travel Channel, The Discovery Channel, and even on Mythbusters!! And how fitting that they be celebrating their 31st Year of Fear on the year we get to attend!! Finally, we finished off the night with a trip down to Creepyworld, America's Biggeset and Scariest Haunted House Screampark, boasting 13 Attractions and delivering on the scares!! So will we be telling these haunts to 'hit the road Jack?' and leave them with 1 Scream? Or will we find a permanent haunt residency in St. Louis with 5 Screams? Panic Attack is a haunt that is attached to the Boondocks Adventure Farms, which is a more family friendly attraciton, but then Panic Attack is a heart pounding haunted attraction with some new and interesting scares that we have not seen this haunt season!! Ladies & Gentlemen, The Terror Talks are BACK FOR SEASON 4 with an ALL-NEW Look and some ALL-NEW HAUNTS and some of our old stomping grounds as well!! On Episode 14 of the show, we are taking our listeners on a trip to good 'ol, "Sweet Home Alabama" as we visit The Haunted Chicken House and City of Chaos. The Haunted Chicken House located in Heflin, Alabama, has been a bucket list haunt for Jeremy, as he saw it featured several years ago on the show, "Ride: With Norman Reedus" and thus this haunt has been one high on the list. In addition to that, it is also included in a 10 Haunt Marathon of Alabama, so expectations were very high. With 3 Attractions: A Haunted Hayride, The Crazy Train, and The Haunted House, it seemed like this haunt would be well worth the price of admission. Then, we returned to a haunt from last year that never got their due review, City of Chaos, located in Eastaboga, Alabama. This Haunt is not just a haunt, it is an experience. From start to finish, you get to follow along with a story line that has you fighting "zombies" outside of the "City of Chaos" and then you get to venture into the city, encountering all sorts of ecentric characters along the way. We have had the distinct pleasure of getting to meet one-on-one with the cast and share our thoughts and notes with them, and now you get to hear it from us personally. So will this sweet Alabama trip leave us screaming with delight with 5 Screams, or will we be slaughtered like the chickens with 1 Scream? On Episode 9 of the show, we are taking a trip right outside of Athens, to Winterville, GA, as we visit Zombie Farms!! This is our first time getting to check out this haunt and it has a lot of unique things to offer, but is not without its shortcomings. Eleven years ago, Zombie Farms began as a zombie preserve. But it hasn't been smooth sailing! We have battled government entities who sought to control us, witches who sought revenge, ghosts who are never at rest and a chaotic of mix other creatures who wished to inhabit our farm from vampires and werewolves to fiends, hoodlums and demons. This year brings the return of Horror Studios for their 3rd visit to ZF to film 12 new horror movies on the property. We also are reacquainted with Angus from seasons past, who has never been put to rest after the deather of his beloved daughter Luma. His love pushes him to do dark deeds in the name of revenge. With his spirit hanging around, filming is not going as expected. But if you are willing to take the risk, we will still allow you to visit the sets and see the filming in progress. Maybe you can even become an extra in one of the scenes! Zombie Farms has helped Athens celebrate Halloween since 2012 and is looking forward to the 2024 season with great anticipation! ZF is a haunted walking trail through the woods with many sets and scenes to enjoy. This annual fall event is a unique alternative to all the kiddie corn mazes and predictable haunted houses. The trail is different every year, so no matter how many times you have visited before, you will enjoy all new scares and scenes!
