In this conversation we talk with Summitt Hogue, Founder and Managing Partner of Growe, an industrial real estate brokerage that exclusively represents 3PLs. Summitt shares his background growing up in Lubbock, Texas, and his initial aspirations of becoming a farmer before transitioning into real estate in DFW and ultimately making a bold move to start Growe with a unique approach to differentiate himself in the industry. The high point of Summit's career (and one of the most inspirational stories shared on the podcast) was the story of perseverance in securing a deal with Growe's first client, a company he had been pursuing for eight years and that started with waiting in a conference lobby that he couldn't afford to attend, hoping to spot the company owner to strike up a conversation only for the owner to think he was a hotel attendant helping with his bags! The unique approach of Growe, focusing on 3PLs and acting as a matchmaker, has attracted competition, but the company's deep knowledge of the industry and ability to find the best deals sets them apart. Summitt emphasizes the importance of supply chain expertise and the value of building strong relationships with 3PLs.
