Their book explores the 8 Circuit Brain Model that Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson first created in the 1970s, while synthesizing the model with new studies in neuroscience and psychedelics. The book also integrates the ideas of Antero Alli, Stanislav Grof, and the Holonomic brain theory with current research in developmental psychology. Rachel and Doug have spent years working in the realm of psychedelic-assisted therapy and their experience shows. Working in such spaces has allowed them to speak new life into the 8 Circuit Brain Model and provides inspiration for future researchers.
