Send us a text In the previous episode, we talked about David’s third strategy of learning to strengthen your confidence using your past victories (a.k.a the grounding strategy); in today’s episode, we’ll talk about David’s fourth strategy when facing any giant in your life which is to simply answer back (a.k.a the careful response) in which you refuse to listen to your giant’s challenge without issuing your own. David faced an opponent that was skilled in the art of warfare and was a master manipulator who knew how to secure easy victories using the mind game strategy. Goliath tried to taunt, threaten, insult, and intimidate David the same way he had done to the entire army of Israel. He shouted out, “ Do I look like a dog that you should dare approach me with a stick? I will feed your carcass to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field ”. Now by anyone’s standards, when you have a guy that is almost the size of large truck standing in front of you shouting to you how he will cut you into pieces for the animals to feast on…that can be a very intimidating picture which could make a grown man cry and run for cover.
