#113 Kevin Phares | Being a Conservative in College & Free Speech

Kevin Phares is a man of many hats. A Naperville native and now student at ISU, Kevin is the host of the Saturday afternoon radio show “Speechless” on Cities 92.9, a Business Strategist for Great Plains Media, and the President of the Turning Point USA Chapter at Illinois State University. A strong conservative, Kevin has dedicated a significant amount of his effort and knowledge to promoting conservative philosophies to the younger demographic in central Illinois and beyond. Kevin also works alongside a number of former guests of The Paul Garcia Show including, Cat Peterson, David Paul Blumenshine, and Hannah Blumenshine.
Great Plains Media is home to a number of stations, Magic 99.5, 107.7 The Bull, Catholic Spirit Radio, and of course, Cities 92.9. These stations are openly conservative, Kevin however does attest that he does support SOME democratic and liberal principles, ideas, and systems including, for example, certain social safety nets. He explains however that he believes that in the grand scheme of things, the democrats in congress and the liberals in society are sorely mistaken in what they believe will bring about the most positive future for the United States and its citizens.
