Today’s guest is Malynda Hale, a mom raising a biracial daughter with her white husband. Malynda grew up in a predominantly white city, but her parents were very big on activities and culture and made sure that Malynda and her sister were exposed to plenty of people like them.
Malynda’s goals with raising her daughter include:
- Making sure she experiences plenty of diverse areas
- Breaking down assumptions about people of color always being in some sort of service role
- Having these conversations so people are educated, not afraid to talk, and not afraid to ask questions.
