It was a dream come true to finally get to meet Marion Boyce, costume designer for Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Her fabulous pieces on the show add depth to the characters and visual harmony to the sets, making us feel like we were having our cake and eating it too. In February 2020, Mary got to sit down with Marion in her fabulous Melbourne studio and learn what it was like working on MFMM. As we suspected, no detail went unexamined in creating costumes for the show! Extras on “Crypt of Tears” 55:14

Back in November of 2018, Jo Jo and Mary were extras in the ballroom scene on “Crypt of Tears.” That night we recorded our experiences from the very long and exhilarating day we had on set. Now that the movie is out, we can FINALLY share this recording with you! Please be advised: we were sooooo loopy from a 15-hour filming day, so this recording is very raw and free form. There are also swears. Huge thanks to Every Cloud for making sure our experience was wonderful. Every single crew member we came into contact with that day was incredibly kind and helpful—and with 60 extras on set, it cannot have been easy! We are also incredibly grateful to the people who contributed to our own Go Fund Me. You enabled us to have an incredible experience, and we hope that this gives you a taste of what it was like to be on set. We were thrilled to be part of the making of this movie, even if it was just a small role. And we are absolutely delighted to have made the final cut of the film!
