⁣⁣Alayna Freeman is a 2017 Cum Laude graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Minor in Biology. She is currently a Doctor of Medicine Candidate at the Uniformed Service University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She has served in numerous leadership roles, namely as The Student Government Association Vice President, The USU Student National Medical Association President, DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc Healthy Lifestyles Co-Chair, and the USU Hotspotting Team. She had achieved many milestones and awards for her academic and extracurricular endeavors such as an American Physiological Society Published Author, XULA Board of Trustees Scholar, Rousseve Scholar, 2015 White House Initiative HBCU All Star Student, 2016 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Miss Louisiana, a Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force, and a 2017 Brigadier General J.B. Cobb Leadership Excellence Award.
