The ten-sided; nine-story structure was marketed in "pie-shaped wedges", with each residential dwelling unit custom designed. In addition, Walter Wisznia held patents on motor bank equipment that was experimented with and eventually used in many of the more than sixty bank structures designed by Wisznia. The firm's second Principal is Walter Wisznia's son, Marcel Wisznia. Marcel Wisznia, a licensed Architect and licensed Interior Designer, has a track record in directing and managing multi-consultant firms on projects of all scopes and sizes.
Wisznia is a "generalist" architectural firm that has designed a wide variety of projects; banks and office buildings, schools, hospitals, retail centers, industrial buildings, condominiums, and multi-family and single-family residential complexes. The firm philosophy is to treat each project as though it is the only one in the office. This attitude has gained Wisznia many design awards, with several projects published nationally.
Interior Architecture is a term that Wisznia helped coin many years ago. As an architectural firm that understands and appreciates the importance of interiors as an integral part of the whole solution, the firm has developed a strong interiors department. A diversified workload allows the Wisznia professional staff to exercise creativity on commissions "from acres to square feet."
There is one ingredient that sets Wisznia apart from most practitioners; Real Estate Development. The firm has developed, designed and constructed millions of square feet of office buildings and residential complexes.
Wearing the “hat” of both the real estate developer and architect has given Wisznia unique problem-solving abilities that has ensured success in many projects for over six decades, spanning two generations of family members.
