Strategy is no longer about protecting the core, as business is constantly in flux. Shifting millimeters or miles. A constant ebb and flow between technology innovations, stakeholder demands and business priorities requires a balanced strategy.
But where should the focus for strategy lie? Is it the commercial, customer, technology or society? The answer is that strategic planning needs to adopt a polycentric approach, having to blend multiple domains to derive maximum value… at speed.
