Let's Eat With Kurly Kurtosh!
Manage episode 353310914 series 3440523
On this episode of the Hungarian Heritage podcast we will be talking about a delicious topic, and that is Kurtos Kalacs….translation…chimney cakes. That delicious, confectionary delight you typically find at a Hungarian street festival. My special guest today is , Nicole Shaw-Provillion, who is an expertly trained chimney cake maker and she is the founder and owner of Kurly Kurtosh in Nutley, NJ. Nicole not only makes authentic Hungarian chimney cakes but she also has a very unique story about how she built her chimney cake business here in the US after living in Budapest for four years with her family. You may notice in this episode that the sound may vary from previous episodes and that is because I fortunate to have recorded this interview on site at Kurly Kurtosh, where I was surrounded by the delicious smell of chimney cakes during the entire interview. And I often say let’s dive in, but I think it would be more fitting to say let’s dig in, because by the end of this episode, you will definitely want to visit Nicole and dig into a delicious Chimney Cake that she makes at Kurly Kurtosh, in Nutley, New Jersey.
