Episode 21: You got to have faith, faith, faith

We chat about the journey we all go through while building our businesses. The peaks and troughs and the importance of keeping the faith if you still feel passionately about your idea - even when you hit a bump in the road. It’s totally ok to pivot if you realise you’ve changed your direction, but it’s that passion that should be the deciding factor to whether you give up or not. Not the fact that things get tough. We chatted about building you own support system of people who will help you, as our families often don’t ‘get it’.

We discussed the value of showing up with authenticity day after day. Not being self-serving (dropping links everywhere!), but rather helping and supporting people just to be nice not to promote ourselves. Eventually, people will start to seek you out and you will get more reader, viewers or clients. Play the long game. Go over and above what is necessary or expected, just because. This is what makes you stand out. People are often lazy and go into FB groups with the wrong attitude. Think of the connections and friends you could make rather than the couple of views you might get from just dropping a link.

We also chatted about the possibility that Ceri’s partner James might be a serial killer (listen to find out!) and the fact that Aby watched Amy’s video in which she said sleeping in your make-up for one night ages your skin 8 days! Yikes!
