Today we are chatting about aligning your goals and your purpose with how it leads you to creating relationships that connect so when you send a DM (direct message), prospects and customers know that you are trusted.

Seems silly to ask but who has either sent a spammy, cold, only sales message to someone you didn't know OR who has been on the receiving end of that message in your DMs? I am thinking all of us at one time or another.

If you sell products or services through social media or email, this episode is especially for you. Now we will cover goals, passions, finding your purpose, and how to align them to your messages your sending to people. Who's with me on your daily dose of DMs that come in via FB or IG messenger? "Hi Erika. I'm so excited. I have this great product and its on sale and you want it right?" " Or I have a group that you would be interested in….here’s the link and you should join." It’s not even their link and I see 200K people in it…I’m like whoa.

Let’s back up for a second. You have no idea who I am. No clue what problems I have, much less if you can solve them. To me you are screaming you just want my money or a bigger group to pitch to. Most of us are all about helping my friends….the ones we have known on social media for a long time who we REALLY know about them. But how to break the barrier with those whom you've just met. There is nothing wrong with expanding your friend network. I do it all the time. But why I do it is very different than most of these messages I get. These women don't know how to create a connection that is authentic. One where you actually listen and know who this person is, what do they like, what problems do they have, and can you help them (in a genuine way). We are problem solvers.

This is what we are going to do a little diving into today. But what do you do when you don’t know anything about them? What does that have to do with your goals and your intentions. That’s where today’s gritty advice will take us.
