In this episode John talks to Artist Andy McInnes, creator of the sleeve artwork for the 1980 New Wave hit record 'Turning Japanese' by The Vapors. Andrew recently recreated the artwork as a huge banner for an event celebrating the band and has now consigned it with Ewbank's for a charity auction.
Back at Ewbank's, John catches up with Fine Art, Pictures and Prints Valuer James Gadd. The two walk & talk through some of the items that will be going under the hammer in the July 2024 Contemporary Art & Editions auction and John is tested on his cultural/geographical knowledge - or lack thereof!
