In this week's episode we have Lynda Ellis, Owner, President, and CEO of Capitol Concierge with headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland! It is a global concierge company that takes care of everything. She was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and did not leave the area until she was 22 years old. Lynda was raised by a single father who was born in Belfast, Ireland and taught her many valuable lessons starting at a young age that you always give back to the community and you can do anything you want to do as long as you work hard for it, if you need more money go work, and he would always tell her you live in the most wonderful country in this world and you need to respect and appreciate it! Entrepreneurship and hospitality runs in her blood. At 12 years old she started her first endeavor, babysitting. She later lived in Tokyo, Japan for around 9 years and worked in multiple roles. Afterwards, she moved to San Antonio, Texas and went back to college and started a novelty business she ultimately sold to Neiman Marcus. Had a great career in an instructional technology company for over 20 years and mentions how it all led to Capitol Concierge. Lynda shares how you need to listen and genuinely care about the other person. She mentions why you should support your employees and the importance of giving back since there is no way you can give as much as you receive!
