There are not many people that can say they have had the experience of making it to the Olympics (Note: 1 in 7 million odds) much less three times! However, Connor Fields did and shares his experience through each of them with the last one ending in a near death accident.
In this episode, Connor discusses his experiences reaching the peak of athletic success. He reflects on the mental challenges of being the first BMX racer with the chance to win consecutive gold medals.
Moreover, Connor offers his insights on training alongside fellow athletes and the concept of athlete accountability during shared training sessions—does this approach suit everyone? Connor provides a distinctive perspective on this matter, highlighting the disparity between a good athlete and an Olympian.
We walk through how Connor's dad applied the Parkinson's concept of time and how it influenced the efforts he applied to becoming a gold medalist.
