Professor Adam Haupt (University of Cape Town) just launched the first academic Hiphop Studies journal; www.intellectbooks.com. He is known for having penned one of the first books on Hiphop in Africa (2008's "Stealing Empire". He also co-edited the 2019's "Never Again: Hiphop Art, Activism & Education i Post-Apartheid South Africa".
