Today on the podcast, we are happy to have the Athletic Director & Boys Basketball Coach at St George’s High School Ryan Peplinski with us.
In 19 seasons at St. George’s, Peplinski’s record is 367-150, with 12 state tournament appearances, capturing 9 trophies including:
· The 2013 2B State Championship
· Four 2nd Place Finishes
· 7 Semi-Final Trips
· 4 District 7 Titles
· 8 League Championships
Other honors for Peplinski include:
· 2002 WIBCA “B” Coach of the Year
· 2007, 2008, 2009 Panorama League Coach of the Year
· 2001, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2019 NE 2B Coach of the Year
· Eli Sports Network 2B Boys Basketball Team of the Decade
As the St. George’s Athletic Director, Peplinski resume includes many committee memberships in the Northeast 2B League, Panorama League, and District 7 and WIAA Board Memberships.
Under his leadership, St George’s has over 85% participation in athletics, and have added 5 new athletic teams in his tenure.
We talk about the championships and wins, but I think what is more impressive is that he has had the opportunity to make a difference in his player’s lives through basketball.
