NEWS ITEMS
Baldur’s Gate 3. GameInformer reports that Patch 8 went live on April 17th. The final patch for the game includes crossplay between consoles, Mac, and PC, photo mode, and a new subclass for every class in the game: College of Glamour, Path of Giants, Death Domain, Circle of Stars, Oath of the Crown, Arcane Archer, Drunken Master, Swarmkeeper, Swashbuckler, Shadow Magic, Hexblade, and Bladesinging.
Dreadmoor. IGN reports that Polish developer Dream Dock Games has announced a first-person fishing/apocalyptic horror game that is heavily inspired by Dredge. It is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
Greater Than Games. The makers of Sentinels of the Multiverse and Spirit Island have drastically reduced their workforce and canceled all new projects due to tariffs. More info to come regarding existing Kickstarter projects.
Legend of Zelda. GameInformer reports that the Switch 2 Edition of Breath of the Wild will not include the Expansion Pass DLC. Meanwhile, IGN reports that both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will have a randomized daily bonus through the companion app. Bonuses include meal effects, health and stamina recovery, and equipment repairs.
PlayStation. GameInformer reports that Sony has increased the price of the PS5 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Africa.
Star Wars Zero Company. GameInformer reports that Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment are developing a turn-based tactical Star Wars game. More details will be unveiled at Star Wars Celebration on Saturday, though it will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Switch 2. Nintendo announced on their website that retail preorders for the Switch 2 will open in the US on April 24th. The console’s price will remain unchanged for now, though the price for accessories will go up $5-10 due to tariffs.
