rom a young age, we Australians are taught the importance of sport in our lives; for health, for fitness and for lifestyle, the importance of sport for minds young and old is undisputed. But sport also teaches us other skills that are important in this modern economy: teamwork, collaboration, communication… and most important of all, persistence.
In this episode of Tech Society, Alex and John from Ninja Software speak with Nick Marvin, management consultant, public speaker and author, who specialises in organisational transformation through performing teams. For over a decade, Nick was involved at the highest echelons of Australian sport, with leadership positions with organisations undergoing changes at the advent of professional era of sports.
Nick speaks about personal development, the future of on-demand sports, human potential, the benefit of teams, and what it takes to be at the top of your game. To share this idea to the young (and young of heart), he has published a book imparting the lessons he has learned to the next generation.
