Mark Yendell, a 33-year-old from Bristol, disappeared after his shift at Bristol Temple Meads station. His abandoned car, found near Welsh Back waterfront, had bloodstains and a briefcase with £100. Further investigation revealed more blood near the station. A post-mortem showed Yendell died from head injuries before being dumped in the water.

Despite extensive investigations, no clear motive emerged. Yendell's colleagues described him as reserved, leading to speculation about his personal life. Detectives theorized he was attacked in the car park, his body later dumped in the docks. Arrests were made, including Edward Witt, a friend of Yendell's wife, but charges were dropped, and the case remains unsolved.

Police believed multiple assailants were involved, and despite time passing, the case still haunts investigators. Detectives continue to seek closure for Yendell's family, hoping to uncover the truth behind his tragic death.
