Back like we never left!! Its a new season, and to kick off season 2, I get to speak to a senator! That's right, Sen. Geraldine Thompson stops by for a quick visit. I caught up with the Florida lawmaker between sessions to discuss her involvement in the Wells' Built Museum of African American History in Orlando. We had a great discussion on Central Florida history, the role the area played in the Civil Rights struggle, and the founding of the Wells' Built hotel, which later became the museum. She also informs me on the connection the Wells' Built has with a particular Hollywood movie starring an Oscar winning actor. Its Black History Month, and we take a trip to 511 W.
