Its Mental Health Awareness Month, so to help us tackle such a complex issue, I have invited Kizzy Chambers to the lab. Mrs. Chambers is a licensed social worker, clinician and psychotherapist. We discuss mental health as a whole, and specific areas such as the lack of diverse representation available with therapists. There's also conversations about the trappings that deter Black and Brown people from seeking help, and what role Jesus plays in the equation(and believe me, he does play a role). She also provides phone numbers and websites to assist in finding the help you need. She's not a Dr. but she plays one on the latest episode of the String of Destiny podcast.
