Jesus leads us into Leviticus 2 & 3 with the subject of Salt. In verse 13 of Leviticus 2 we read every " And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. Jesus speaks to us in the New testament about this in Matthew 5:13 about Salt loosing its flavor.
