Pride can severely damage our relationship with God and others. Through the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14, Jesus illustrates the dangers of self-righteousness and contempt. Pride leads us to trust in our own righteousness and view others with disdain, which blinds us to our need for God's grace. By examining our hearts, avoiding comparison, and seeking humility, we can grow spiritually and improve our relationships.
