You also may be eligible to make a TPD super claim for compensation if you’ve suffered an injury or illness that permanently prevents you from working in your normal job or any other work for which you are suited by education, training or experience.
Your super fund may include income protection insurance allowing you to claim financial support when an injury or illness is holding you back from earning income from your regular job.
All superannuation funds have death benefit payments, which are usually made up of contributions as well as any insurance benefits attached to the policy.
