Our guest is Aaron Brown, a seasoned audio professional specializing in game audio, music composition, and field recording. With two Oscars under his belt for his work on Dune and Mad Max Fury Road, and more nominations to his name, Mark's career spans over four decades of creating amazing sonic realities for motion pictures. His passion for sound also extends into the world of music. A talented guitarist and songwriter, he has composed pieces for several movies. In addition to his work in film, Mark is a frequent lecturer and a strong proponent for sound as an art form. About this Episode On today's episode, we will get to know Katharina Bär, a sound designer based in Düsseldorf, Germany. With a strong musical background, she combines her passion for music and recordings in her work on game audio, film projects, and audio books. She has also worked on audio narration with curated music and foley for the board game Frosthaven. Katharina also has experience in live mixing and recording musical and classical concerts, as well as developing directional characteristics of different instruments in VR for her bachelor's thesis.
