In this episode, we have an exciting update for our AllSauce Village members. We are welcoming new all-stars and expressing our gratitude for their support. Additionally, we have some exciting news from our R&D department. Our team has successfully completed R&D Badger number 10, a remarkable accomplishment. With this achievement, we can now fulfill orders from the waiting list for the number 10 batch.

We would like to give a special shout out to Michael A, who opted for the case add-on, as well as Derek F, Eli R, Francis K, Michael L, Stuart K, Matthew G, Ethan M, and Bill P, all of whom added on a case of samples to their membership. We are thrilled with the outcome of this new batch, as it successfully replicates the delicious flavor of our prepackaged product. But let's not forget the story behind Uncle Brother's Allsauce. It all started years ago when I was working in the automotive leasing industry. My colleagues and I would often go out for Hot Wings during happy hour, but we could never find wings that were both hot and tasty. Determined to find a solution, I took on the challenge of creating my own hot wing recipe for a potluck at work. Instead of simply complaining, I decided to experiment and improve upon the suggestion of using tomato juice and Tabasco.

This journey led me to analyze different hot sauce products and their ingredients. After moving to LA, I immersed myself in the world of peppers and started experimenting with different combinations. Eventually, I discovered that a mix of serrano chilies, garlic, green onion, cilantro, and ginger resulted in the perfect flavor profile.

Along the way, I also learned the value of creating my own stocks instead of relying on pre-packaged items. This allowed me to have more control over the production process and ensure the highest quality in our hot sauce.

Now, the R&D batches of our hot sauce are available, and we're excited to send samples to members who signed up during a specific period. While the 12 oz bottles quickly ran out, there are still some remaining from a previous batch. We encourage everyone to join our reward program and invite their friends and family to become members. Although we're getting closer to reaching our limit, we are eager to grow and eventually work with a commercial kitchen.

First off, I want to give a warm welcome to all our new All Sauce All Stars. We're thrilled to have you join us on this journey of bringing back the iconic Uncle Brother's All Sauce. Now, let's get into the shipment update, but before we do, I want to share some exciting news. We've decided to rebrand it and rename it the All Sauce All Stars R&D update. It just felt like the right move, you know? So, as of today, we're officially rolling with the new name. And speaking of rolling, I'm here in the kitchen, cooking up the next development batch of our number 10 sauce. This batch is extra special because I'm doing something different with it compared to number nine. I can't spill all the beans just yet, but I can tell you that I'm swapping out one ingredient with a proprietary blend we've created in-house. It's a little secret for now, but trust me, this number 10 sauce is going to blow your taste buds away. Now, for our All Sauce All Stars who joined or renewed their membership after September 20th, I have a special treat for you. You'll be the first to try out the bottoms-up version of our highly anticipated number 10 sauce. I'm really excited to share this exclusive sample with you, and I think you're going to love it. Now, let's move on to something that all of us can relate to—F-Ups. Yes, F-Ups happen to all of us, even to a small company like ours. And today, I want to talk about some of the F-Ups we've encountered as shippers and how we deal with them. But before we dive into that, I just want to make it clear that I support USPS and stand against any privatization efforts. My father actually used to be a letter carrier, so I have a personal connection to the postal service. Initially, we had planned to use USPS to ship out the sauce samples to all of you. However, we ran into some technical difficulties on their website and couldn't get it to work. So, we made the decision to switch to UPS instead. It was a bit more expensive, but it seemed like a viable option at the time. But then, things got a little complicated. One day, I managed to score a discount with UPS customer service. They gave me this promo code that was supposed to save us some money. I was thrilled about the savings, so I started using the promo code for our shipments. However, I quickly realized that the discount would sometimes disappear during the checkout process. It was a frustrating experience. I had to go back and re-enter the promo code multiple times before it finally applied correctly. Despite the ups and downs, every little bit of savings counts, and I'm grateful for the promo code. It's just one of those things we have to navigate as a small company. So, there you have it, a glimpse into the challenges and F-Ups we face in the shipping process. I mention that there are still a few steps left to complete before transitioning to the commercial kitchen. Next, I apologize for the delay in shipping out the last few orders and thank everyone for their patience. I assure them that the shipment will be sent out as soon as the batch is finished. Furthermore, I give a shoutout to a customer named Bill P. who suggested reducing the packing materials in our shipments. I share the story of how I obtained recycled materials from a local co-op, highlighting our commitment to the environment. Moving on, we discuss our efforts to promote eco-friendly shipping practices. We have been using plain boxes and taping over the branding on Amazon boxes to make them more sustainable. I express my desire for Amazon to reconsider their branding on shipping boxes, and suggest starting a campaign to encourage other shippers to use plain boxes as well. Afterwards, I give a shoutout to Ms. Blatt, our first employee, and a long-time subscriber Jeff H. who upgraded his membership to a two-bottle plan. I also acknowledge Rashaun F. for joining as a new all-star and bringing in five more people to sign up. As a result of Rashaun's efforts, we have created a reward program for our all-stars. Understanding those pesky little labels can actually make a huge difference in your health and well-being. So, buckle up, and let's dive in. First things first, let's talk about serving sizes. Listen, I know it's tempting to eat a whole bag of chips in one sitting (trust me, I've been there), but we gotta pay attention to those serving sizes. A bag of chips may say it has two servings, but if you eat the whole thing, you're really getting double the amount of calories, fat, and all that not-so-good-for-you stuff. So, keep an eye on those serving sizes and adjust accordingly. Next up, percentages. You ever look at a label and see something like "20% daily value of vitamin C" and think, "Wow, that's a lot!" Well, here's the thing - that's actually not a lot. The daily value is based on a 2,000-calorie diet, so if you're eating more or less than that, you gotta do some math to figure out how much you're actually getting. Ain't nobody got time for that, right? Well, lucky for you, there are apps and websites out there that can do the math for you. So, make sure you're getting enough of those vitamins and minerals, y'all! Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room - fats and sugars. Look, I'm not saying you can never indulge in some greasy fast food or a big ol' slice of cake. But we gotta be aware of what we're putting in our bodies and the risks that come with consuming too much of those things. So, read those labels, pay attention to the amounts of fats and sugars, and make informed decisions about what you're putting on your plate. Your body and mind will thank you.
