Tyrrell Nelson and I met while I was interning in her group at Roche and I instantly loved her personality. She speaks her mind articulately in a way that not only brings up fun topics and good arguments, but that also supports them and makes you think. To be honest, she was also the greatest teacher I had in microbiology, and I don’t even think she knew she was teaching me. We talk about her curiosity and passion for growing plants, how she’s tread such a wicked career so far, and about the joy that comes from taking risks, whether they be about jumping onto a plane and going to Europe or just facing the fear of a new career. I loved listening to Tyrrell and I know you will too. Enjoy!
