In the last day of competitions in the swimming pool on Saturday evening (7 September 2024) of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Stephen Clegg wins another Gold for Paralympics GB in the S12 Men’s 100 Metres Butterfly.
RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Stephen just after the final of the Men’s S12 100 Metres Butterfly to find out how the race had gone for him with a very close finish. Stephen also reflects on his Gold and World Record earlier in the games in the S12 Men’s 100 Metres Back Stroke and how swimming and sport have helped him through some difficult times and how the success of the whole of the Paralympics GB swimming team will help to encourage visually impaired young people into sport whether that might be swimming or other sports.
