We don't often use the word Gentile today. It's a term used to describe a non-Jewish person. At the time of the Early Church, this distinction was a major deal. Today, Pastor John reminds you that the prophets, Mary and Joseph, and even Jesus Himself, were...Jewish. In His grace and mercy God offered salvation to the Gentiles but it's important to honor and remember where it all began. Don't let your salvation cause you to look down on the Jews! They're the root that supports you, not the other way around!
