Why is there something rather than nothing? Many people buy into the secular materialist worldview which tells us that nothing became everything by chance and that human beings are the product of countless generations of violence. To believe this is to believe that the world is fundamentally a hostile and meaningless place characterised by scarcity and competition. The Bible tells a very different story about a Creator God who is the ultimate host, making total provision for his honoured guests and welcoming them into fellowship with him. To believe this is to see the world as a fundamentally delightful and meaningful place characterised by abundance and love. Which world are we living in?
