Karla Gonzalez, Director of the SBDC's CENTER FOR CONTRACTING talks about the endless opportunities to secure a government contract from local, state and Federal agencies and the mandates they have to "spread the wealth" by guaranteeing that a certain percentage of those contracts get awarded to qualified small businesses (particularly certain subcategories like minority owned, woman owned or veteran owned small businesses).
