Are you tired of being spiritually weary? You've come to the right place! Join us for a time of prayer, reflection and meditation.
Leave the baggage of your day behind you and come away refreshed, renewed, and reconnected to God as we pray through Psalm 9.
This psalm is unique because while it's a psalm of thanksgiving and praise, it may or may not have been written after the death of one of David's sons, Absalom during a time of grief. Some scholars think it refers to the death of Goliath, others to Absalom, and still others think it's unrelated to either. But to have such a wide interpretation of meanings is a beautiful reminder that the psalms are songs that can minister to our hearts regardless of what season of life we're in. The death of Goliath would have been a time for great celebration, while the death of Absalom grieved David deeply, despite Absalom's attempts to overthrow his father.
Whether you're enjoying a season of thanksgiving and celebration or faced with a season of unspeakable grief, this episode and psalm 9 will minister to your heart.
