Could the Cubs swoop in and snatch Bregman away from the Red Sox while they play the long game of chicken? Also, Chicago is hoping to sign Bregman to a shorter-term deal that includes opt-outs which sounds like something the Sox wanna do if they can. And, Roman Anthony is among the prospects the Sox may start having extension talks with and the guys agree it should be a no-brainer to lock up baseball's top prospect despite no major league experience.
