Ephesians 1 and 2, Ephesians 5:28-30, 1 Corinthians 1:26, Acts 20:28 The church was created for the glory of God and when we talk about the glory of church, we are talking about the glory of people. It is God’s will that we will be people of glory and power. The church is so dear to Christ that he talks about His love for the church being compared to the love a husband must have for his wife. The church was purchased by the blood of Christ so it is extremely dear to Him. Because the church is so dear to Christ, this makes it unpopular to the world. The world does not love the church and we must not love the world. We must choose to take the narrow path through life rather than the broad. The attributes that those in a glorious church must have include: 1. being morally pure and spiritually clean; 2. being doctrinally pure and scripturally sound; and 3. being actively faithful. We must be a glorious people!
