Riotboy Productions presents Phonogenics 101 - the podcast where people who love music discuss albums track by track.
For this special end of season two episode, the Joni Mitchell Phonogenics family reunites to work through a series of topics including:

-How the Jann Wanner controversy shed light on the way females are subcategorized in the music industry while men are not
-During the 70s Joni often aligned herself with black culture, including an album cover where she appeared in black face. Joni's words and visuals from that era are put under a modern microscope. The panel also ponders what our perception of Joni would be if she actually was BIPOC.
-Over the last few months Joni gave iconic performances at both the Grammy's at the ceremony honoring Elton John's Gershwin award. These performances are considered and discussed.
