Our Quarreling Has To Stop

Pastor Omar delivered an enlightening sermon based on Genesis 13, where he delved into the story of Abraham and Lot, and expanded his teaching with insights from the Book of Jasher, Chapter 15. The central theme of the sermon was the concept of "quarreling" and its implications in our lives.

Pastor Omar highlighted how quarreling often arises from trivial matters and can escalate into heated arguments. He reminded us that God's wisdom, as found in Proverbs, teaches that avoiding a fight is a mark of honor. Unfortunately, our upbringing, culture, and family influences sometimes promote the opposite, treating fighting as a badge of honor.

This misalignment with God's teachings can have detrimental effects, especially in marriages. Pastor Omar pointed out that many marital difficulties stem from quarreling, and he referenced the proverb that says it is better to live on a rooftop than in a beautiful home with a complaining spouse. This stark imagery underscored the importance of striving for peace and understanding in our relationships.

Through this sermon, we were encouraged to reflect on our own lives and seek to align our actions with God's desires, fostering harmony and avoiding unnecessary conflicts.
