Is your church compromising the Word of God. Do you have leaders in the church who are guilty of backsliding; teaching things that are false, and encouraging others in the church to do the same? If the church at Pergamum was a compromising church, then Thyatira would be called a 'backsliding' church; a church where its leaders were allowing false doctrine to be taught out in the open; doctrine that attempted to lead its members into sin. God has a dire warning for leaders who teach spiritual adultery, and for those who follow their teaching.
