In this podcast international arbitration expert Loukas Mistelis talks to George Miller about current arbitration issues and the series he edits for Oxford University Press – the Oxford International Arbitration series (http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/product/9780198715610.do). In a wide-ranging and revealing conversation, they discuss the current arbitration landscape and cross-border disputes and how the arbitration field has evolved and developed. They discuss whether the golden age of arbitration is now passed, and how arbitration theory has attempted to catch up with practice. The Oxford International Arbitration series publishes books of quality and originality on subjects of practical importance in modern international arbitration, focusing on emerging topics and pervasive issues. The series provides both practitioner and scholarly readers with titles which offer a high standard of analysis. Loukas Mistelis is a member of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) where he is Director of the School of International Arbitration and the Clive M Schmitthoff Professor of Transnational Commercial Law and Arbitration. He also co-ordinates the specialisations in International Commercial Law, Arbitration and Tax. He teaches at the LLM programme and is the co-ordinator of the courses in International and Comparative Commercial Arbitration and International Trade and Investment Dispute Settlement and also teaches on the International Commercial Law, International Commercial Litigation and ADR courses. Loukas Mistelis has also developed the Diploma in International Arbitration by Distance Learning, the Diploma in International Mediation (ADR) by Distance Learning and the Diploma in International Arbitration, which is offered by CCLS with accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
