In this podcast international financial law expert Jeffrey Golden talks to George Miller about the impact of the global financial crisis, and the growing role of arbitration in resolving complex financial disputes. They also discuss the roles of enforceability, confidentiality and precedent setting, the nature of the emerging markets, and the need for creative thinking right across the alternative dispute resolution field. Jeffrey Golden is co-editor (with Carolyn Lamm) of International Financial Disputes: Arbitration and Mediation published by Oxford University Press. Jeffrey Golden is a member of chambers at 3 Hare Court, a Governor and Honorary Fellow at the London School of Economics, where he has also been a Visiting Professor in the Law Department, and a former partner at Allen & Overy LLP, where he was founding partner of the firm's US law practice and specialised in capital markets. Jeff is Chairman of the PRIME Finance Foundation, a member of the Foundation's Panel of Recognised International Market Experts in Finance and co-editor of the Capital Markets Law Journal published by OUP.
