2024 Softball Media Days, Day 6: Alabama, Oklahoma, and the Fall Ball Special

The Out of the Box Boys are ready to wrap up the fifth year of Softball Media Days! That’s right, Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson are here to talk with every SEC school (and one bonus school) about softball over the next two weeks, and it concludes now!

First, Tom and Gray preview the two teams represented in Day Six of the event (0:00-6:29).

Then, Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy returns to the show and discusses the recent passing of former AD Bill Battle, the focal point for the offense, portal additions, options on the infield, Abby Duchscherer, the battle at catcher, Kristen White’s potential, outfield pieces, the pitching staff, Alyson Habetz’s return in March, pregame traditions, and much more (6:38-1:12:34).

Next, Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso stops by to talk about joining the conference, her motivations after decades of success, the departing senior class, player leadership, the current roster, portal strategies, protected rivalries, Janet Jackson, and more (1:12:42-2:01:09).

Finally, Tom and Gray get together and discuss some of the biggest stories for Alabama from Fall Ball. Gray reads out all the stats from the Tide’s games, and then the guys answer questions in the Mailbag before giving Way-Too-Early SEC Top Five picks (2:01:20-2:48:03).
