In episode 1, Nourah & Samer discuss the history of political rape used by Zionist colonizers in Palestine to expedite the ethnic cleansing of our communities, how the Palestinian national struggle attempted to counter act this with the slogan "Land Before Honor", the sidelining of the Palestinian women's movement by mainstream discourse and how this historical framework leads into the increase of domestic violence in Palestinian households and the lack of social accountability. This podcast also gives listeners a glimpse into the lives of the hosts of this show by sharing stories and struggle of our mothers that informs the way each host engages both our society and our world.
