She joins the feminist lawyer and jurist, Layla Awada, who helped draft a civil personal status law with her organisation, Kafa, in conversation about civil marriage and the drafting of civil, non-religious personal status laws in Lebanon with Diana Moukalled in this episode of "Noon". The subject of civil marriage and personal status law was exploited during the last Lebanese parliamentary elections. Against the regime of corruption and sectarianism, the demand for an obligatory civil personal status law has emerged as one of the fault lines.
