State Senator Pat Connick explains his opposition to Senate Bill 482

The Sheriff praised and thanked Senator Connick for being brave enough to take a stand against Senate Bill 482, a bill that would basically rewrite state public records law by exempting nearly every record at all levels of government from public scrutiny. Newell urges all Louisiana legislators to reject the bill proposed by Senator Heather Cloud (R-Turkey Creek). So does the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana and several other watchdog groups and political analysts from inside and outside the state. State Senator Pat Connick joins Newell to share how this bill is progressing, or whether there’s any momentum building toward stopping it in its tracks.
