Through all the awful things that prison has to offer; Andy's unwavering hope pulls him through and shows other the no bars in Shawshank will ever keep his spirit in shackles. His infectious demeanor shines light in a dark place of cold walls and bars. This film which has been recognized by the US Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film registry is a true testament that even a mustard seed of hope can break through any barriers.
