How is it possible that you can have all your physical needs met—three hots and a cot—and still not be happy? Answer: because our deepest needs are spiritual in nature. If it were not so, then none of us—all of whom have clothes to wear, food to eat, and dry places to sleep—would ever be unhappy. What’s the secret, then? How can we learn to be content with all our blessings? In his farewell remarks to the Philippians, the Apostle Paul tells his friends that he has learned the secret to being content in all situations. Let’s talk about it.
