THE LOST KING is a drama based on a true story. Philippa Langley is an unhappy, divorced mother of two suffering from an occasionally debilitating case of chronic fatigue syndrome. She and her husband still live together for the sake of their children. After watching a presentation of Shakespeare’s play RICHARD III, Philippa becomes obsessed with the historical British king. After some research, she goes on a quest to restore Richard’s reputation and find his final resting place. She convinces some powerful entities to support her cause but faces stiff opposition from the academic establishment.
