ABOUT MY FATHER stars popular standup comic Sebastian Maniscalco. Sebastian plays a successful Hilton hotel manager who wants to propose to his girlfriend, Ellie, at a July Fourth visit to her parents’ summer home. However, his old school Sicilian father, Salvatore, played by Robert DeNiro, won’t let Sebastian use his grandmother’s ring until the father can meet the parents face to face. Reluctantly, Sebastian lets his father come along with them. How long will it take before Sebastian’s father embarrasses Sebastian in front of the future in-laws?
